The Milwaukee Brewers struggled again today before Rickie Weeks and Cory Hart came to the rescue. Weeks and Hart hit two-run doubles in a five-run ninth inning, and the Milwaukee Brewers averted a series sweep by rallying for a 6-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. Trevor Hoffman pitched an scoreless eighth inning to get the win. This is a win the Brewers needed as they have been struggling to score runs and stopping other teams.
Rickie Weeks and Cory Hart together drove in five of the six runs for the Brewers. Cory Hart has played very well the past six weeks and has helped carry the Brewers. Milwaukee has to be consistent if they want to win more games. They could have won two of the three games if they would have gotten better pitching against Colorado. Being consistent is they key if you want to win series and Milwaukee is not consistent.
