It seems the Milwaukee Brewers just never have enough when they need it. Take yesterday's game for example. The Brewers sent Chris Capuano who has been out for two years to the mound and he pitched very well. He allowed just three earned runs which would normally get your team a win, but not the way the Brewers play. The Brewers could only manage one run off Florida Marlins pitch Josh Johnson who was very sharp. The Brewers were able to get one run off their bullpen as well. To the Brewers credit they did make it interesting in the end, but could not get the hit the needed.
Three Brewers had two hits apiece, but Milwaukee also had 10 strikeouts in the game. Milwaukee also left runners on in scoring position which also hurt them as well. Milwaukee has a weekend series with the St. Louis Cardinals and cannot afford to lose this series. They are slowing falling out of the pennant race and need some wins in this series. To the Brewers credit they continue to play hard and never give up.
