Brewers Look Bad In 8-0 Loss To Cardinals

You had to know when the Milwaukee Brewers started to play tougher competition this was going to happen. St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright threw a complete game and Colby Rasmus drilled a two-run homer to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. Just another night for Brewers fans watching the Brewers stumble through another loss. Brewer fans deserve a lot better.

Milwaukee starter Randy Wolf (4-5) sent the first six batters down in order on 20 pitches before running into trouble in the third. Rasmus drew a leadoff walk and Brendan Ryan followed with a single up the middle. One out later, Rasmus scored on a grounder to third by Felipe Lopez. Wolf gave up five earned runs in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out four and walked four.

The Brewers only managed 2 hits in nine innings against the Cardinals and Wainwright. The bad part is that the series could get worse. Let's hope not. The Brewers have now lost five out of their last six and no end in sight to this horrible season.
